“I regret that our people had to go as far as a taking control of the highway to be heard, but we will watch and see if the commitments are met, because these agreements directly benefit the economic sustainability of Quellon, which should not lose the dynamism and economic growth that has always characterized it,” said Ivan Haro, mayor of Quellon.
In response to the petitions made by the group of representatives of bodies in Quellon concerning the environmental and economic crisis, authorities represented by the three ministers agreed on the following, among other issues:
- A control lab was immediately set up at Melinka and another one in Quellon, which will assure the safety of the water and species shipped from one area to another.
