Polish fish farmer Global Fish has unveiled plans to more than double its barramundi production over the next 12 months.
The only way for the company to enter more traditional markets, such as retailers and exporters, is for it to bolster the volume it produces, Jakob Kicerman, a member of the company's management board, told IntraFish.
The expansion and refurbishment to its existing barramundi operations will likely take 12 months to complete and will cost the company around €1 million ($1.4 million), Kicerman said.
