The group -- which has a trading office in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht and a 25 percent stake in Nigeria-based fishing firm Atlantic Shrimpers Ltd. as well as a joint venture in a farm in Ecuador -- is seeing strong demand and rising prices for its wild white and black tiger shrimp and its farmed white shrimp.

Prices are up 35 percent to 40 percent across all species, with the steepest rise seen in the black tigers, Chairman Eddy Koppers told IntraFish.
