The United States recently levied tariffs on tires coming into America from China, and China is retaliating, launching an investigation into alleged subsidies on imports of American broiler chicken products, Bloomberg News reported Sunday.
China is the biggest overseas market for U.S. poultry and purchased nearly 800,000 metric tons valued at $722 million (€491 million) last year, the report said, quoting the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council.
