Norwegian exporter Gaia Seafood's sales reached NOK 219.2 million (€26.3 million/$35.1 million) in 2013, up 20 percent from the previous year.
Operating profit came to NOK 800,000 (€96,000/$128,000), an improvement over a NOK 1 million (€120,000/$160,000) loss in 2012.
Wage costs were reduced by close to NOK 1 million (€120,000/$160,000), and the company, which had six employees, revealed in its annual report that an employment position in the accounts department had been reduced from a 100 percent position to a 50 percent position.
