Denmark-based Sirena reported sales of DKK 1.85 billion (€248.1 million/$359.3 million) for 2010, up 35 percent from DKK 1.37 billion (€183.7 million/$266.1 million) for 2009.

“The growing optimism and abate of the financial crisis has meant that our customers have bought more fish in 2010 than the year before,” the company said, in a report filed to the Danish companies’ registry. “The rise is partly due to increased sales of existing products and partly due to an increase in the price of wild-caught fish and shellfish on the world market.”
