“We have set the standard for distribution of vaccines here in Norway. We are able to document an unbroken cooler chain, minute by minute, from the warehouse depot in Oslo to around 600 different delivery points throughout the country,” Europharma Managing Director Paal Christian Kruger told IntraFish.

The vaccines are highly sensitive to temperature and must never freeze nor be subjected to higher temperatures than those the goods are labeled with, which is 2 to 8 degrees.

Section Director Svein Rune Andersen of the Norwegian Medicines Agency told the newspaper Aftenposten, in an article on purchasing of vaccine by mail order, “We have warned against people getting vaccines sent by mail as this is a particularly risky way of transporting the vaccine (...)
