The farm was audited by an international certification body and was found to be compliant with Friend of the Sea's sustainability requirements, the certification label said.
The farming sites were found to be managing their potential environmental impacts properly, monitoring water parameters, preventing impact on surrounding ecosystem, managing water, waste and energy appropriately, FOS said.
Hue Fisheries, with 600 employees, also produces squid, cuttlefish and octopus.
“We believe the Friend of the Sea label, recognizing our clean sustainable production, can represent an important added value,” said Phan Xuan Trang, the company's chairman.
