French tuna fishing company Compagnie Française du Thon Oceanique (CFTO) has taken delivery of a new freezer tuna vessel called Gevred, built by the Spanish shipyard Astilleros Murueta.
A launch ceremony was held at the Basque company’s headquarters in Erandio, Bizkaia on Wednesday, although the vessel was actually built in France, and was the first the company has built outside of Spain, reported El Diario.
Gevred has a length of 77 meters and a total of 16 tanks with a capacity of 1,400 cubic meters.
