The newest product from R&O Seafood Gastronomy -- France’s leading seafood distributor and shrimp producer -- has been snapped up by a leading French giant food retailer.
The name of the retailer was not disclosed to IntraFish, but R&O has already started supplying the first 1,000 metric tons of product to the retailer.
Marketed under the Reynaud brand, the 'Polar Arctic Salmon' has a brand name of its own, and made its debut in the French market at Christmas 2012.
It was initially sold to the foodservice sector and traditional fishmongers.
