The €215-million ($300 million)-turnover fishing and processing group is looking to secure closer partnerships with Norwegian suppliers, one of its top executives told IntraFish during the Conxemar trade show in Vigo.
“We buy frozen and salted cod as well as raw and cooked shrimp from Norway, but we want to establish partnerships for consistent supply,” Freiremar Director General, Santiago Freire Rodriguez, told IntraFish.
“Right now, we work with different companies and we buy big volumes, say 3,000 metric tons a year,” he said.
