France, Russia slowing down on Norwegian fresh salmon imports

Of the top 10 importers of fresh Norwegian salmon all have bumped up purchases so far this year, with the exception of France and Russia.

The most recent statistics from the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) show Poland is the biggest buyer of fresh Norwegian salmon up to and including week 23 with 46,073 metric tons, up from 44,603 metric tons last year.

France is still the second biggest importer with 37,980 metric tons. This, however is a 12.9 percent drop year-on-year, down from 42,884 metric tons in the same period last year.

Russia
