Fortune Fish & Gourmet added a Chicago-based small batch premium sausage company to its growing list of products on Monday after it acquired Chef Martin's Alpine Brand Sausages.
Sean O'Scannlain, Fortune's president and CEO, said Chef Martin's will now be able to expand their distribution well beyond Illinois, reaching consumers nationally using the company's 43 refrigerated trucks and the Flying Fish program.
"It creates an outstanding opportunity for out employees and customers," he said.
The terms of the deals weren't released, and nothing was reported about any potential seafood crossover.
