Former Norway Royal Salmon CEO Jon Binde has joined US private equity group Paine & Partners, with a mandate of helping the fund identify new investment opportunities.
"With my background, it's most natural that I will be looking at the salmon industry," Binde told IntraFish.
Binde will work on a consultancy basis for the firm.
Paine & Partners counts among its investments Seattle-based Icicle Seafoods and Norwegian byproducts group Scanbio.
Binde stepped down as CEO at Norway Royal on Sept. 30, after 10 years in the role.
