Veenman, appointed CEO of the Zoutkamp-based shrimp processor in September last year, told IntraFish he is loving his relatively new role in seafood and sees huge potential in the industry and in Heiploeg.
IntraFish: As an executive from outside of the seafood business, what attracted you to the role at Heiploeg?
Jan Ernst Veenman: First of all, I think it is an exciting part of the food industry, the seafood business, as you are dealing with live product and also wild catch and farmed.
