A UK salmon smoker is looking to high-end markets abroad to diversify its customer base.

Severn & Wye, a £15 million (€17.9 million/$23.7 million) turnover fish smoker based in Gloucester, is looking to new markets to diversify its sales.

At the moment the smoker sells to the UK, typically to foodservice customers such as top-end hotels, chefs such as Mitch Tonks and to events such as Wimbledon, the Olympics and the Chelsea Flower Show.

It also started selling abroad, to Spain, France, the United States and even Dubai, and the aim is to push that further, its founder Richard Cook said.
