The three main owners of salmon derivatives group FishPool – Imarex, Bergen Energi and GC Reiber – have hired Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) to investigate prospects for selling the company.

”We are seeking long-term stakeholders,” PWC’s Jorgen Horntvedt told IntraFish. ”It is a unique company in our industry, and it is positive that the company has a near-monopoly and tremendous reach.”

Imarex, which holds 41 percent of FishPool, sold its shares in freight derivatives and commodity group NOS Clearing and Kontali Analyse earlier in the year under pressure.

FishPool’s
