Based in Saint Guenole, La Houle is one of the longest established trawler companies among the fishing villages of western Brittany that account for much of the most valuable catches landed by the French fleet.
After two years of preparation, its Web site has been more successful than they had expected, Managing Director Joseph Loussouarn told IntraFish.
“We expected to make a loss in the first year, but that hasn’t happened,” he said, adding they are not the first in this field in France, but are the first fishing company to be doing this.
