Original reports said the fire began in the plant's cold storage facility, but AquaChile now says the fire started in the processing plant itself.

Fire crews quickly got the fire under control.

“As soon as the fire was detected, the plant was evacuated following the company’s contingency plan and the fire department was alerted, which quickly brought the situation under control and there were no injuries.
