Reports that Lion Capital is looking to sell Findus France have sent ripples of concern among the group’s employees.
Employees have asked that Findus should not be sold to Permira, which owns Findus' arch rival Iglo Group -- parent of Birds Eye in the United Kingdom and Iglo in continental Europe -- media reports said.
Employees also fear a sale could jeopardize planned investments into the company’s factory, which is based in Boulogne-sur-mer, northwestern France.
Birds Eye Iglo's CEO Martin Glenn would not confirm whether Permira is an interested party for Findus France, or Findus Nordic.
