The iconic Findus brand will cease to exist in the UK retailer sector from the spring as part of a Young’s Seafood rebrand, reports The Grocer.

The European arm of the Findus Group was sold to Nomad Holdings in a £500 million (€657.6 million/$712.7 million) deal last year, with Young’s Seafood International Holdings spun out as a separate UK company.

It is understood rights to the Findus brand, including in the UK, transferred to Nomad following the deal.

As a result, Young’s Seafood, which has owned the Findus brand in the UK to date, will stop using the brand from this spring, said The Grocer.
