An initial deadline to find a bank to refinance the company’s debts was pushed back three months to June 17, the company revealed.
However, a spokesman for Maru Seafood told IntraFish either way, the future of the plant would be decided sooner than this.
“It will take a few weeks before any final decision: it’s not going to last three months. There will be a final solution but I can’t tell you if it’ll be good or not,” the spokesman said. “We are optimistic, but I am not sure, it depends on the banks.”
