The new Nordborg, built at Asmar in Chile for Faroese owners Hvalnes, is undergoing the final phases of fitting out in Klaksvik, Faroe Islands.
Nordborg's owners last year formed their own marketing company, Atlantic Pelagic Faroe, with former HB Grandi and Havsbrun fishmeal seller Poul Huus Solstein and Atlantic Pelagic Norway to market their products.

"Capelin and roe are for Japanese markets but for now we are concentrating mostly on markets closer to home in Europe," Jon Rasmussen, one of the ship's two skippers and also one of its owners, told Fishing News International.
