Norwegian salmon prices are said to see a recovery over the next week, predicted to climb NOK 3 (€0.38/$0.51) to NOK 4 (€0.51/$0.68) per kilogram, compared to last Friday's outlook.
Indications for an increase were already shown last week, with salmon spot prices increasing slightly, despite a hike in volumes.
Nevertheless, this week's forecast comes as a surprise for many.
"This is a surprisingly strong recovery," one exporter told IntraFish. "We saw early this week that prices would go up but didn't expect this much."
