An increased harvest of salmon over the last week boosted volumes and caused the price to drop sharply, according to industry players.
IntraFish was informed by several independent players that the price of salmon fell by several kroner from the level it was at a week ago.
The most pressure is on the biggest sizes of fish, they said, while prices are relatively flat for fish over 3 kilograms and above.
IntraFish has been told by five players that prices currently vary from NOK 34 (€4.20/$5.60)
