After a sharp upturn reported last Friday, Norwegian farmed salmon prices are falling sharply this week as the market is flooded with fish, industry players told IntraFish.
According to various operators within industry, the price has fallen to an average level of around NOK 33 (€3.9/$4.4) to NOK 34 (€4/$4.5).
One of the exporters IntraFish talked to said it had been a tough week.
“Prices have fallen by around NOK 4 (€0.47/$0.53),” he said. “There are too many fish in the market in relation to what the market will take away.”
