Last week, Norwegian farmed salmon prices saw an increase of NOK 3.64 (€0.46/$0.59) to an average kilogram price of NOK 45.43 (€5.70/$7.40), according to recent figures by the Salmon Nasdaq Index.
The biggest sizes also saw the biggest jumps, with 5+ kilogram fish shooting up by more than NOK 4 (€0.50/$0.65), and fish bigger than 6 kilograms passing the NOK 48 (€6/$7.80) mark.
Average prices were 8.71 percent higher week-on-week, and climbed 10.52 percent month-on-month.
