During the first five months of this year, the export value of salmon from the Faroe Islands has risen by 37 percent, compared with the same period in 2012.
It is solely the sales value that has increased for the salmon industry, as salmon production volume is the same as last year.
Total exports came to just over DKK 2 billion (€268.2 million/$352.4 million), just DKK 54 million (€7.2 million/$9.5 million) more than for the same period last year.
