Norwegian doctors and international experts warned harmful pollutants in salmon feed is making farmed salmon unsafe for pregnant women and children to eat, reported The Nordic Page.

The consumption of farmed salmon can be particularly dangerous for women, children and adolescents, and can be associated with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and reduced IQ.

Anne-Lise Birch Monsen, industry specialist and Bjorn Bolann, physician and professor of medicine,  told the paper the type of contaminants  detected in farmed salmon have been seen to have a negative effect on brain development among young people.

Meanwhile,
