Figures issued by the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC) show that Norway exported 6,316 metric tons of farmed cod in the first eight months of 2010.
This figure includes whole, farmed cod and fillet. At the same time last year the amount exported was 4.69 metric tons.
The value of this year’s export is NOK 159 million (€20.7 million/$25.4 million), as opposed to NOK 137.2million (€17.8 million/$22 million) last year.
