Explosion at Norway Seafoods plant leads to ammonia leak

Police responded to an automatic emergency alarm after there was an explosion at one of Norway Seafoods' plants on Monday.

Norway Seafoods Operations Manager Stein Wilhelmsen at Midtre Haalogaland said in a police report that the plant explosion caused an ammonia leak and one person was transported to the hospital.

The plant was not in production on Monday. Four maintenance workers were at the plant when the explosion occurred. About four hours after the alert, police said the ammonia leak was stopped.

"It
