Ewos succeeded in developing a feed with a very low content of marine raw materials. In full-scale production, fish that have received this feed demonstrated equally good yields as fish on regular feed. Participants from the industry that trial-tasted the fish, struggled to differentiate between these and fish on regular feed.
The fish feed producer carried out an experiment where the salmon is raised on feed with a low percentage of marine raw materials. Only 5 percent marine protein raw material and 5 percent omega-3 from fish oil.
