EWOS cuts feed supplies to Pescanova in Chile

Norwegian feed supplier EWOS has cut deliveries of salmon feed to crisis-stricken Spanish group Pescanova in Chile, IntraFish has learned.

As reported in April, EWOS, part of Cermaq, had supplied salmon feed to the companies owned by the Spanish multinational -- Acuinova and Nova Austral -- in Chile, which is in the throes of a massive debt crisis.

The two companies have an annual production of 40,000 to 50,000 metric tons, and the EWOS credit has increased over a long period of time.
