IntraFish has been producing its Top European Seafood Companies report for five years now, and it’s been fascinating to watch the development of companies in the region. Needless to say, there has been massive change.

Of those companies that have made our list this year, a whopping six of them have recorded a 50 percent growth in revenues over the past three years.

Here’s the top three, ranked by percentage growth from 2009 to 2011:

  • SalMar – 67% growth. Over the past 15 years Oslo-listed SalMar has increased its harvest volumes by an average of 23 percent per year, while operating profits have risen by an average 30 percent a year.
