European processors are not worried over the recent news that only some Alaskan salmon fisheries are going to be re-certified under the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) standard.
A draft report prepared by Intertek Moody Marine stated on April 24 the majority of the state's salmon fisheries meet the standard, with the exception of Prince William Sound chum and pink salmon -- a huge bulk of the volume and species used by European buyers.
