Danish Seafood Association Chairman Peter Bamberger isn't happy. High winds, bad weather, and expensive fish prices are putting the squeeze on the company's seafood manufacturers -- but no more than farmed salmon, which has been on a dramatic rise over the past month before leveling out over the past week.

“It goes without saying that no one is buying salmon unless they really have to," Bamberger told IntraFish. "There’s a certain amount of irritation over salmon prices suddenly rocketing."

At the beginning of the year, buyers and suppliers reported salmon prices of NOK 62 (€6.60/$7.10)
