Marine Harvest is still waiting for European Union approval of its Morpol acquisition, but the review has now been extended to Sept. 30, reported Bloomberg.
The company provided the European Commission regulators with additional information to mitigate concerns in connection with the acquisition, Bloomberg said.
The Brussels-based commission extended its review of the transaction until the end of the month, without specifying the remedies offered, according to a filing on its website today.
This was confirmed by Ivan Vindheim, CFO of Marine Harvest, to IntraFish.
