Farmed salmon prices in Norway jumped several kronerthis Friday, mainly as a result of less supply on the market, according toindustry players.

IntraFish talkedto six independent operators Friday lunchtime, all of whom reported an increaseof several NOK with wholesale prices reaching around NOK 40(€4.50/$5.10) per kilo.

“It's an enormous price increase,” one player told IntraFish. "I was surprised last week the price was too low," said one salmon processor on thecontinent.
