Ocean Farm -- a company based near the coastal city of Manta in Ecuador-- has been granted the permission to farm yellowtail, snapper and shrimp, a company executive told IntraFish.
"We hope that later we can grow other species such as cobia, mahi and tuna," said operation manager Samir Kuri.
"During the next four years we expect to reach the point to produce around 1,650 metric tons of fish per year."
