Ecuador's National Aquaculture Association (CNA) welcomed news its country's shrimp exports would not be subject to tariffs in preliminary findings by the US Department of Commerce (DOC) Wednesday.
CNA Executive President Jose Antonio Camposano said the decision is in-line with Ecuador's assertions its industry is operating on a fair and level playing field.
Camposano said Ecuador's government played a key role in expediting the process of gathering information as part of the DOC investigations over the past five months, calling its cooperation a "key factor" in Wednesday's outcome.
