One of the biggest obstacles faced by the Ecuadorian shrimp farming industry is lack of long-term market access, according to Executive President of Ecuador's National Chamber of Aquaculture Jose Antonio Camposano.
"We need to face this lack of long-term market access," he said in an interview with IntraFish Media's Fish Farming International Digital.
"Fortunately we are in the way of signing a FTA [free trade agreement] with the EU -- our most important market -- but we still need to do something with Brazil since they closed their frontiers to all shrimp imports since 2011.
