A Dutch fish processor owned by Kennemervis has partnered with Findus Group’s UK arm Young’s Seafood to supply its low-fat breaded fish range to schools across the UK.

The contract will involve around 2,000 metric tons a year, Fishmasters, a subsidiary set up by Kennemervis in October 2010, told IntraFish.

The products are part of Fishmasters’ new Lovet range, which consists of non-fried breaded fish with an oil content as low as 4 percent. The fish are ovenbaked and the oil included in the coating is vegetable oil, Fishmasters’ marketing manager Jan Gerard de Graaf said.
