"Most seafood is very healthy for you. I am a big believer in omega-3 fatty acids. People should have at last two to three servings of mercury-free seafood a week," Dr. Sasson "Sass" Moulavi of Smart for Life Weight Management Centers told IntraFish.

"I think we eat way too much meat and not enough seafood."

Moulavi says people need to be aware of shelf-stable foods that contain ingredients that have been unrefrigerated and uncanned, and which pose a potential health issue.

"Shelf-stable food contains bacteria which do not eat the food.
