Trend arrows denoting the change in expectations for futures prices for salmon are pointing downward at the salmon futures exchange, Fish Pool, for the remaining months of this year. The next year, however, looks brighter.
Prices are now expected to settle around NOK 35 (€4.30/$5.80) per kg in the next few months, with the exception of October, when prices are expected to drop to NOK 33 (€4.10/$5.50) per kg.
Over in 2014, pricing are pointing up again, with expectations of higher forward prices compared with those of the last few week.
