Dias Aquaculture’s co-founder and second largest shareholder Stelios Pitakas has been voted out as CEO of the Greek bass and bream producer.

Pitakas, who will instead remain as chairman of the company, has been replaced by the former vice-chairman Stefanos Manellis.

Pitakas was voted out from his role after Linnaeus Capital Partners’ wholly owned aquaculture arm Tethys Ocean upped its stake in Dias from 30 to 50.2 percent on March 1.

The transaction gave Linnaeus majority control of the seven-member board, with three directors -- including Stelios’ son George Pitakas -- replaced by new members including Linnaeus’ director Olga Novikova.
