Bremerhaven-headquartered German processor Deutsche See is giving up its juidical battle against car giant Volkswagen and will not appeal a previous decision made by the regional court of Braunschweig.

The court previously rejected Deutsche See's complaint against Volkswagen over the carmaker's emissions test-cheating scandal.

Deutsche See originally said it would appeal the decision but is saying now that there is no possibility for an agreement.

Volkswagen is not ready to talk and does not want to reach an out-of-court settlement, the company said.
