There were national elections in Denmark, and speculation about who should be the country’s prime minister is widespread and lively, to say the least.

After recently attending a seminar in Aalborg, Denmark, on the Danish seafood industry’s future, I get the feeling the industry has other concerns rather than worrying about from which political camp their political leadership will stem.

There appears to be general agreement in the industry profitability on the whole is way below acceptable and, if action isn’t taken now, more businesses will run into financial turmoil and go to the wall.
