The company's subsidiary, Salmones Multiexport, has been hard hit by infectious salmon anemia (ISA).

Like most other Chilean salmon producers, the company is struggling under decreased production realted to the spread of ISA , a disease that is ravaging the country's salmon farming industry. Plants have been closed and thousands of workers laid off. Some experts expect production this year to be cut in half.
