Danish producer AquaPri inaugurated its land-based pike perch farm on April 1, which is now "running at full power," it said in a press release.

Plans to build the recirculation aquaculture system (RAS) plant were initially made public in 2013, and construction started in 2014.

The first fry, produced at its hatchery in Egtved, were put into the water in fall 2015 and since then around 1 million baby fish have been moved to the new facility.
