Prices are up, especially for smaller fish, leaving a lot of buyers unhappy.
The conclusion, after IntraFish talked with players in the salmon market Friday, is prices are up around NOK 2 (€0.26/$0.34) on average for deliveries the week of Aug. 16.
“There is a clear increase, caused by a tight supply. A price increase of around NOK 2 (€0.26/$0.34) is expected generally for all sizes. Customers are not satisfied,” one exporter said.
